Preschool FAQs for Parents at Upstate Kids Learning Center

What will my child do while at Upstate Kids Learning Center?

We play. We learn. We grow. At Upstate Kids Learning Center, each day is designed to help children learn and thrive while feeling safe and supported. Our schedule includes constructive circle time, story time, hands-on crafts, music, and plenty of time for creative play both indoors and outdoors. Children are encouraged to build friendships, explore their creativity, and develop new skills in a Christ-centered environment. Depending on your child’s class and age, we also introduce letters, numbers, shapes, and colors, along with important social skills like sharing, listening, and working together with others.

What ages do you provide care for?

We provide care for children from infancy through 5 years old, helping them grow and prepare for their next steps in education.

We’re also open to elementary-aged students during the summer months, offering a fun and safe environment when school is out.

What do I need to send with my child?

For infants, please send diapers, wipes, and any other essentials your child needs throughout the day. For infants through pre-K, we recommend an extra set of clothes in case of spills or playtime messes, along with a labeled cup or bottle with a secure lid for water, and a nutritious snack.

Snack time is at 10:00 AM each day, giving children a chance to recharge before continuing with their morning activities.

What should my child wear?

Although there is no dress code, we recommend comfortable play clothes and closed-toe shoes so your child can move freely and safely throughout the day. Please also send a jacket or sweater on cooler days so your child can comfortably enjoy outdoor playtime.

When is payment due?

Tuition payments are due on the 1st of each month. We make the payment process simple so families can stay focused on their child’s experience and growth at Upstate Kids Learning Center.
